Ryan David Edmondson

Ryan Edmondson arrived at St Patrick's Athletic in January 2026 on a free transfer after leaving Central Coast Mariners by mutual consent, and made his debut on 8 February against Bohemians.

Leeds gave him only two senior appearances, sending him out on a string of loans instead — to Aberdeen, Northampton Town, Fleetwood Town and Port Vale, the last of which ended in an EFL League Two play-off win. A free transfer to Carlisle United followed in 2022, where he scored seven goals in 52 appearances and lifted another League Two play-off title before departing for Australia in January 2024.

It was at Central Coast Mariners that Edmondson had his most productive spell. He won the A-League Men Championship and Premiership in his first season, added the AFC Cup in 2024, and was named best player of the match in the A-League Grand Final, taking the Joe Marston Medal. Across his time at the club he scored nine goals in 50 appearances.

Edmondson has also represented England at under-19 level, scoring once in three caps in 2019, though he has not added a senior appearance since. At St Patrick's Athletic he now wears the number 27 shirt as he begins the next stage of a career built largely away from Leeds' first team.
