About the player
Ryan Fulton grew up in the Liverpool academy, joining the club at under-10 level and signing his first professional contract in December 2015. He spent two seasons on the fringes of the first-team squad without making a senior league appearance for Liverpool, instead gathering experience out on loan — first a short spell at Portsmouth, then a full season at Chesterfield, where he made 26 league appearances.
He joined Hamilton Academical on a free transfer in July 2017. What followed was seven seasons at the club, well over a hundred appearances across all competitions, and a run through the Scottish Premiership, Championship and League One.
When his Hamilton contract expired in the summer of 2024, Fulton signed for Heart of Midlothian as a free agent on a two-year deal.
Fulton has represented Scotland at every youth level from under-16 upwards, taking in caps at under-16, under-19 and under-21, English-born but Scotland-qualified through the youth pathway. He has yet to add a senior cap to that record.
