Siphesihle Ndlovu

Siphesihle Ndlovu made his name at Maritzburg United, where the 2017–18 season turned him from academy product into a promising young midfielder. He was named PSL Young Player of the Season and PSL Midfielder of the Season that year, and picked up the Player of the Month award for January 2018 as well, having come through the club's academy after starting out at the Umgungundlovu Academy of Sport.

That form earned him a move to Orlando Pirates in June 2019 on a three-year deal, and he won the MTN 8 Cup with the club that year, though regular starts proved harder to come by afterwards. A loan to SuperSport United in January 2023 became permanent by that June, and he stayed in Tshwane until July 2025, when Kaizer Chiefs signed him on a three-year contract in a deal reported at around R5 million, with earlier reports suggesting figures closer to €900,000.

On the international stage, Ndlovu made his Bafana Bafana debut in March 2018 and has earned seven caps. He was part of the South Africa squad that won the Four Nations Invitational Tournament in 2018 and the COSAFA Cup Plate the same year.

His breakthrough campaign also brought individual recognition beyond the awards he won outright: he was nominated for both PSL Footballer of the Season and PSL Players' Player of the Season in 2017–18, a measure of how quickly he had established himself before his career took him from Maritzburg through Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.
