About the player
Sebastian Hausner did not have far to travel to captain AC Horsens. He grew up playing for FC Horsens before moving through Horsens fS and into the AC Horsens youth ranks, and in February 2025 he was named captain of the club. Along the way he also led AC Horsens' U14 and U15 sides, and briefly wore the armband at AGF as well.
He left Horsens for AGF Aarhus in 2014, working his way up to a senior debut in 2019. His time there peaked in the 2019–20 season, when AGF finished third in the Danish Superliga — the club's first podium finish since 1997. Hausner made 96 appearances in total for AGF without scoring a goal, then moved to Sweden in January 2023, joining IFK Göteborg. In Allsvenskan colours he made 37 league appearances plus four in the Svenska Cupen, scoring once.
In July 2024 he returned to Denmark and to AC Horsens on a permanent deal, coming back to the club where his career had started. Half a year later, he was handed the captaincy.
Hausner has represented Denmark at every youth level from U16 to U21. He has yet to add a senior cap. His earliest honour dates back to his time as a boy at AC Horsens, when he won the Jutland Championship at U13 level — a piece of history from the same club he now leads out as captain.
