About the player
Tim Janisch is a product of Nürnberg's own academy. He joined 1. FC Nürnberg's youth setup in 2016 after coming through JFG Wendelstein. As an internal graduate, no transfer fee changed hands for any of his moves within the club's structure.
Janisch made his professional debut on 10 August 2024, coming off the bench in the 86th minute of a 2. Bundesliga match away to FC Schalke 04, which Nürnberg won 3-1. He had spent time with 1. FC Nürnberg II. The right-footed defender has built up around 42 appearances across all competitions and has scored once.
His progress has also been recognised at international level: Janisch has represented Germany at U20 level, where he has earned three caps since 2025.
