J. McCormack

Yuna McCormack spent her freshman year at Virginia starting all 17 games and finishing on the ACC All-Freshman Team, then left college soccer mid-way through her sophomore season to join the United States at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia. She scored both of her tournament goals — against Morocco and Paraguay — as the side took bronze.

A transfer to Florida State followed for 2025, and it turned into the best season of her career: 22 appearances, 20 of them starts, six goals including two match-winners, and a National Championship medal after scoring in the title run against Stanford. TopDrawerSoccer named her to its Preseason Best XI Second Team and Top 100 list that year, and she was recognised academically with Academic All-District honours.

Before any of that, McCormack had already won a trophy with the San Francisco Glens in the USL W League, helping the club to the Western Conference and NorCal Division titles in 2023.

In January 2026 she turned professional, signing a three-year contract with NWSL expansion side Denver Summit. She made her debut off the bench in the club's first-ever match in March, and by September had made 18 appearances with an assist to her name.

She attended a USWNT Futures camp in January 2025, though a senior call-up has yet to follow.
