Al Salt SC

A ground for a thousand people is a small claim to make in a top flight built around Amman's bigger arenas, and Al-Salt Stadium has stayed that size through everything the club above it has done. It is the only home Al Salt has known, tucked into the city of Salt, and it simply holds the club's own crowd and no more.

Al Salt, founded in 1965, spent most of its existence in Jordan's lower tiers before winning the Jordanian First Division League in 2017–18 and going up to the Pro League for the 2018–19 season, the first promotion of that kind in the club's history. Essam Mubaideen arrived around that same time.

Their local rivalry, the Balqa Derby against Al-Baqa'a SC , is a fixture of geography as much as football, both clubs drawn from the same governorate. The sharper recent memory belongs elsewhere: the 2024 Jordan Shield Cup final against Al-Wehdat , one of Amman's leading clubs, settled 5–3 on penalties in Al Salt's favour. It was the club's first Shield Cup title.

None of it has changed how the club presents itself day to day — there is no official site, only a presence kept on Facebook — or where it plays.
