Iława's handball side measures itself against Warmia Energa Olsztyn, and the two meet in what locals simply call the Voivodeship Derby. That rivalry framed the 2024/2025 season, when Jeziorak beat Olsztyn 31:28 in the match that settled the I Liga title and sent the club up to the Liga Centralna.

The promotion capped a short climb. Jeziorak had only reached the I Liga in 2022, after winning the II Liga Pomorska, and within three years had gone from newcomers to champions of the division. The same season brought a first appearance at the central stage of the Orlen Puchar Polski, where the team beat MKS Bodega Grudziądz 35:29 before running into PGE Wybrzeże Gdańsk and going out 23:34 in the round of sixteen. A regional cup, the Wojewódzki Puchar Polski, was added to the run.

Karol Cichocki has carried the scoring load through that rise, while Kamil Krieger has combined playing with coaching the side. The team, known to its supporters as the Jeziorowcy, plays in white and blue at the Hala Sportowo-Widowiskowa, a hall holding 1,250 people.

The handball section sits inside a club whose identity has shifted more than once. Registered in Iława in December 1945, it went through life as Warmia Iława, then Kolejarz Iława, before settling on the Jeziorak name in 1960 — the name the handball team, now playing as Aqua-Instal Jeziorak, still carries eight decades after the club's founding.
