Maccabi Herzliya

Vasili Ivanov spent four seasons in Maccabi Herzliya's defence and midfield in the late 1990s. The team plays in yellow, which gave it the nickname HaTzvaadim, and shares the Herzliya Municipal Stadium with Hapoel Herzliya, the fixture between them known locally as the Small Derby.

Herzliya has gone up and come down more often than it has stayed put. Promotion to the top flight arrived in 1993 and again in 2006, both times off the back of winning the second-tier Liga Leumit, and both times the stay proved short: relegation followed in 2000 and again in 2008. The club fell as far as Liga Alef in 2018 before working back up, taking the third-tier Liga Artzit south group in 2022–23 and returning to Liga Leumit that year. Two years later came the one cup the club could call its own, the Toto Cup, beaten Hapoel Kfar Saba 2–1 in the final.

The Herzliya Municipal Stadium holds around 8,300.
