Hapoel Ra'anana

In the 2000–01 season Hapoel Ra'anana reached the Israel State Cup final and lost it to Hapoel Tel Aviv. That same campaign brought the Liga Artzit title.

The club as it stands now dates from 1972, rebuilt after the original Hapoel Ra'anana, founded in 1938, had faded. Locally it is still known as HaKvutza MiHaSharon, the Group from Sharon, a name that ties it to the region rather than to the town alone, and that regional pull shows most on derby day against Hapoel Kfar Saba.

Promotion has been the club's recurring achievement rather than a single golden season: Liga Bet South A in 1997–98, Liga Alef North the year after, then the Liga Artzit crown that took them into the top division. They have never won the Premier League or the State Cup outright, and their highest league finish, sixth, came in 2015–16. A runners-up finish in the 2009–10 Toto Cup, lost to Beitar Jerusalem, sits alongside the 2001 cup final as the closest the trophy cabinet has come to filling.

Their own ground, the Karnei Oren Memorial Field, holds only 2,500 and does not meet the licensing standards the upper divisions demand, so home matches in Premier League seasons have been played elsewhere — at Levita Stadium in Kfar Saba, and more recently at Netanya Stadium or Ramat Gan Stadium. Red and black remain the colours regardless of where the fixture is played.
