Konstantin Okulov left this academy for CSKA Moscow, where he won the Gagarin Cup three times.

The club's best run through the Molodyezhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga (MHL) was a semi-final in 2015–16, lost to Loko Yaroslavl. Coaches have turned over often — Eduard Volkov took charge in 2025, one in a long line stretching back through Valery Tripuzov and Nikolai Zavarukhin.

The name itself was not the fans' first choice. A vote in 2009 backed "Sibirskie Pestsy" — Siberian Foxes — but the club administration rejected it and settled on "Sibirskie Snaipery" instead. The arctic fox stayed on regardless, kept as the mascot and on the emblem, so the team plays in dark and light blue under a badge that still nods to the name it never got.

For fourteen years the club played at the smaller LDS Sibir before following the senior team to Sibir Arena in July 2023. The move paid off on 14 February 2026, when Sibirskie Snaipery took the ice for their 1,000th MHL match and drew 11,080 spectators, a regular-season attendance record, then beat Krasnoyarskie Rysi 4–1 in front of them. Matches against Omskie Yastreby carry the weight of the Siberian Derby.

The 2025–26 season ended with second place in the Silver Division and the only playoff berth from that tier, enough to send Sibirskie Snaipery back up to the Gold Division for 2026–27.
