In the IV. Liga North, Slovan Kendice sit among clubs from villages across the Prešov Region. The past two campaigns have given the club something to point to beyond the league table: in both 2024/25 and 2025/26 it reached the second round of the Slovnaft Cup before FC Košice ended the run.

The club took shape in Kendice in 1954 as TJ Sokol Kendice, then became TJ Slovan Kendice in 1968 before settling on its current name. It plays in blue and white at the Futbalový štadión FK Slovan Kendice, a ground holding around 1,000 people. In the IV. liga Východ it meets other village sides from the district, among them TJ Dvorníky-Včeláre and Ostrovany, without any of those meetings carrying the weight of a named derby.

The club's president, Martin Dupkala, played the game himself and spent years around 1. FC Tatran Prešov, the professional club in the regional capital.
