Vipers

Bunamwaya, a village side in Wakiso District on the edge of Kampala, entered Uganda's top flight and stayed there under the wing of Lawrence Mulindwa, who kept building the club through relegation in 2005 and an immediate return the following year. By 2012 he judged the project ready for a bigger stage: on 21 August that year Bunamwaya FC was rebranded Vipers SC.

Edward Golola took charge and delivered the club's first league title in 2010, still under the old name, then added the FUFA Super Cup in 2015 under the new one. Further league championships arrived in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2025 and 2026, with Ivan Minnaert steering the 2024–25 vintage to the crown. Five Uganda Cups have gone the same way, most recently in 2025.

Continental football has been less forgiving. The furthest Vipers have reached in the CAF Champions League is the group stage, in 2022–23, and a CECAFA Kagame Cup run stopped at the quarter-finals in 2018.
