Clayton Beddoes came through the NHL system before finding his way to South Tyrol, and stayed on afterwards to coach the side he had played for. Daniel Guérard passed through the same way.
The rivalry with Rittner Buam carries its own name, the Südtiroler Derby, and it is one fixture on the calendar where form counts for less than history — two clubs from the same province, same wintersport, no love lost.
Serie A2 has been won three times, in 2004–05, 2008–09 and 2010–11, and the Coppa di Lega A2 once more, in 2012–13. The closer brush with the top came earlier: in 1997–98 the Broncos reached the Serie A final and lost it to HC Bolzano.
