In May 2024, BK Vysoká nad Labem's men's side beat BCM Orli Prostějov twice in the promotion playoffs, 77:62 and then 73:69, and moved up into the 1. Liga, the second tier of Czech basketball. For a club whose senior section had existed for less than a decade, it was a significant achievement.

The section was registered in August 2015, but basketball in the village had already been played for years under TJ Sokol Vysoká nad Labem, and the new club kept that link. Its name carries the mark of NAPOS, the local beverage company that sponsors the team, and its badge, adopted in 2016, shows the village's own observation tower.

The women's team had its moment first, taking the Východočeská liga žen title in the 2017–2018 season after seeing off BK Přelouč and the reserve side of Sokol Nilfisk HK in the playoffs. A season earlier, the men's B team had already won the same regional league at its own level.

Among the players who came through the club, Martin Peterka went on to a career with the Czech national team and repeated championships at ERA Basketball Nymburk; his brother Ondřej stayed closer to home, coaching the youth ranks while still turning out for the men's side himself.

Games against BK GAPA Hradec Králové, a few kilometres up the road, are billed locally as the "derby Vysoká vs. Hradec", a rivalry the Hradec club itself acknowledges even as relations between the two towns stay amicable off the court.

The men's B team closed the 2025/26 Východočeská liga campaign in 12th place, well below the first team's new level in the 1. Liga.
