Everything here belongs to the academy rather than to a club. The Nacionalinės futbolo akademijos stadionas sits inside the National Football Academy complex on Aukštaičių gatvė in Kaunas, a project that traces back to 1999 and formally took shape when the academy was established in February 2007, with UEFA president Michel Platini on hand for the occasion.
Earlier tenants included FC Stumbras, wound up in 2019, along with FBK Kaunas, FK Atletas Kaunas and spells for Kauno Žalgiris. The Lithuania national team has never used it as a home venue, and beyond football the site has also hosted NATO-related events.
