Pusan Ay Park and Hwaseon played out a 0-0 draw in K-League 2's Regular Season round 22 on August 15th. Two sides fighting for position in the table found themselves locked in a stalemate that neither could break.
The match was punctuated by bookings rather than chances. Jegal Jae-Min picked up a caution in the 23rd minute, while Son Hwi went off the white shirt 18 minutes later. Kim Chan added a third yellow card just after the hour mark, though his team-mates stayed on the pitch.
Both managers made their changes in the second half. Gutemberg came on for the hosts at the interval, and Hwaseon brought on Kim Se-Hoon and Kim Byung-Oh together in the 57th minute. More substitutions followed: Park Kyung-Min replaced Jegal Jae-Min for Pusan at 68 minutes, while Kim Jung-Min and Kim Min-Hyeok also entered the fray.
By then Hwaseon had edged possession at 53 per cent but could not convert their advantage. They registered nine shots to Pusan's five, but only four of each side found the target. The visitors won more corners, nine to three, yet could not create clear-cut opportunities.
Pusan's recent form has been difficult — losses to Yoncheon and Seoul E-Land in their last two outings. Hwaseon arrived with more momentum after a 5-1 victory over Daegu, though their away record this season tells a different story.
The result keeps both sides within touching distance of each other in the standings. Hwaseon remain fifth on 40 points, two ahead of sixth-placed Pusan. Both have played 24 games, and the gap between them remains narrow.
