Late surge settles the contest
M. Garcia broke the deadlock in the 85th minute, giving Chungju the lead they had been chasing. Min Ji-Hoon equalised with a penalty eight minutes later before Chu Sang-Hoon restored the advantage. The drama continued with another penalty from Min Ji-Hoon in stoppage time, though the final tally stood at 2:1.
Cho Young-Kwang picked up a yellow card in the 35th minute before being substituted at the interval. Ku Hyun-Jun and Jeong Ji-Yong came on in the second half, while Jeong Jin-Woo and J. Lee were also brought on to change the dynamic.
Chungju dominated the numbers
The hosts controlled possession at 65 per cent and registered 11 shots on target compared to two for the visitors. Chungju generated 125 attacks against 67, with a shooting accuracy of 73 per cent. Jeonnam managed only a third of the possession and struggled to find the back of the net.

The victory gives Chungju breathing room at the bottom half of the table, though they still have work to do. Jeonnam's away form continues to be a concern with this their sixth loss in eight league outings.
