Greenville Triumph beat Napoli 4:0 in the USL League One Group Stage on 29 August. The hosts opened the scoring through D. Boyce in the twenty-fourth minute and added a second just after half-time when M. Nour found the net. By then the visitors had been dominated, and the final whistle confirmed a comfortable home victory.

The result ends Napoli's recent run of mixed form, which included a 2:0 win over Union Omaha on 26 August. Greenville came into the match after a 1:2 defeat to Spokane Velocity three days earlier.
