Hvidovre secured a 2:1 victory over Fredericia in the sixth matchday of the 1st Division Regular Season on Sunday. The home side took the lead through L. Dauerhoj before the visitors responded with a D. Bagou equaliser. O. Kjaergaard then struck from the penalty spot in the 88th minute to complete the turnaround.
Dauerhoj broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, putting the hosts ahead before Fredericia could settle their shape. The visitors pushed for an equaliser and found it through Bagou in the 54th minute, shifting the momentum. Kjaergaard missed his spot-kick attempt in the 88th minute before converting the rebound moments later to steal all three points.
Fredericia dominated possession at 61 per cent and registered 146 attacks compared to Hvidovre's 78. The visitors hit eight shots on target but their accuracy sat at just 24 per cent. Hvidovre were more efficient, landing six of their ten attempts on target with 35 per cent accuracy. The hosts created three big chances while the away side managed only two.
Hvidovre remain unbeaten in six matches with four wins and two draws to sit second on 14 points. Fredericia drop to fourth after their first defeat of the campaign, leaving them on nine points from two victories and three draws. The gap between the sides has now narrowed to five points with both teams having played the same number of games.
