Vysočina Jihlava put together a professional performance to beat Motorlet Prague 3-0 in the Cup Round of 64 on Monday evening. The visitors were never really troubled, taking control from the opening exchanges and seeing out the contest comfortably. Motorlet's hopes were gone by half time, and the second half was little more than a formality.
O. Sambou set the tone with a quick double. He opened the scoring in the fifth minute, then doubled the lead just eight minutes later. By then Vysočina were already in the saddle, and N. Khrolenok had to be cautioned for his troubles. The home side made three changes at the break, but the damage was done. L. Moudry added a third in the forty-seventh minute, and that was essentially the game.
The statistics tell the story. Vysočina dominated possession at 62 per cent and registered 112 attacks compared to Motorlet's 61. The visitors found the target seven times, while the hosts managed three. Motorlet tried to keep things tight, but Vysočina were dominant in the air from set plays and picked one up last week in their 5-1 win over Havlíčkův Brod. The home side have not won since their 2-1 victory over Sokol Brozany in February.
Vysočina went through the motions after the third goal, making routine changes. L. Moudry was replaced in the eighty-first minute, and J. Mach came on for Motorlet in the eightieth. D. Jambor picked up a yellow card in the eighty-fourth, but there was nothing left to play for. The result sends Vysočina into the next round with confidence, while Motorlet will need to regroup quickly.
