The hosts created two big chances but could not find the finish, whereas the visitors made none and still took their points.
The result leaves Peterborough rooted to the bottom with four points from five fixtures, a run that includes three defeats and a single victory over Watford. Wednesday move to the top of the table with 12 points, their only blemish a 2:0 loss to Wolverhampton. The gap between the two sides now stands at eight points after five rounds.
