D. Puscas opened the scoring for the hosts in the 59th minute, capitalising on a moment of space in the box. Petrocub equalised through J. Asprilla Moreno just seven minutes later, catching Sherif off guard. S. Kone restored the home side's lead in the 76th minute before M. Cojocaru snatched a point deep into stoppage time.
A yellow card arrived in the 67th minute, sandwiched between the first two goals of the second half. The second booking came late on at 87 minutes, when tensions had already cooled. By then both sides had accepted the likelihood of a share.

The draw keeps Sherif Tiraspol in second place with 22 points from 11 games. Petrocub remain third on 18 points, four points adrift of their hosts. Both sides had come into this fixture looking to close the gap on whoever sits at the summit of the standings.
To be fair, neither team dominated proceedings for long stretches. Sherif's recent form showed vulnerability away from home, having lost 1-2 to Zimbru on their last outing. Petrocub arrived with momentum after a 3-0 victory over Bălţi. The result extends their unbeaten run while halving Sherif's winning streak.
