Trelleborgs Women and Kif Erebø shared the points in a 2:2 draw during the seventeenth round of Elitettan on Friday. The result keeps hosts sixth on 25 points while visitors remain fourth on 38.
A. Thorisson opened the scoring in the twenty-seventh minute before E. Lenir doubled the advantage eight minutes later. The visitors had things comfortable until J. Walentowicz pulled one back in the sixty-second. H. Gross-Benberg then found the net in the seventy-second to level matters.
Both sides made changes at the break. D. Pierre and W. Dahlgren came on for Trelleborgs at forty-six minutes, while R. Karlsson replaced a host in the sixtieth. Kif Erebø brought on E. Frost in the eighty-third and H. Persson shortly after.
Trelleborgs had gone into the match with a run of three straight defeats, including heavy losses to Malmö and Göteborg. Kif Erebø, by then, had won five of their last seven games and were pressing for a higher finish.
The draw means Trelleborgs stay two points clear of the relegation zone, while Kif Erebø extend their gap to the teams below them. Three points would have moved them closer to the top two, but they were left exposed at the back when the hosts threw everything at it.
