Tulevik extend unbeaten run with comfortable win over Legion
Tulevik secured a clean sheet victory against Legion 3:0 in the Esiliiga B, moving to within seven points of the play-off places. The result extends their run without defeat to three matches, while Legion remain rooted in the lower half of the table with just twelve points from twenty-six games.
J. Lindepuu opened the scoring after eleven minutes, capitalising on space in the final third to slot home what proved to be the decisive strike of the first half. Tulevik controlled possession without dominating the scoreboard further before the interval, and Legion struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-organised defence.
The visitors failed to respond after the break. I. Ott doubled the lead in the forty-seventh minute, and G. Vidder added a third in the sixty-seventh to put the result beyond doubt. Legion's attacking options appeared exhausted, and they rarely threatened the home goal after the hour mark.
For Tulevik, the victory moves them closer to the top six, though they still have work to do to secure a play-off place. Legion's situation grows more precarious with each defeat, and they now face a difficult run of fixtures if they hope to avoid relegation trouble.
Recent form had suggested Tulevik were stabilising after a patchy start to the campaign, while Legion's inconsistency has been a constant theme. This result gives the home side momentum heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
