A. Ouazane

Manchester United, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all showed interest, but Ouazane chose to stay at Ajax, signing his first professional contract with the club, running until 30 June 2028, in August 2025.

His path to that decision began years earlier. Ouazane started out at local side AVV Zeeburgia before joining Ajax's academy, De Toekomst, in 2016 at the age of seven, and stayed within the club's youth system until 2025. He was rewarded during that time with the Lasse Schöne Trophy for a goal scored at academy level.

For the 2025-26 season he was brought into Jong Ajax, the club's reserve side in the Eerste Divisie, and made 25 appearances with four goals. His first taste of senior competitive football came in the KNVB Cup against Excelsior Maassluis on 17 December 2025, and his Eredivisie debut followed in August 2026. By that point he had made 27 appearances for Ajax in total, with five goals to his name.

Ouazane has represented Morocco at youth level, holding Moroccan nationality despite being born in the Netherlands. He was part of the Morocco squad that won the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in 2025, a tournament in which he was named Man of the Competition. He has earned 24 caps and scored seven goals for Morocco's U17 side, and has also made one appearance for the U23 team.
