About the player
Angelo Talia was playing for Benevento's first team four months before he signed a professional contract with them. He had come through every level of the club's academy, and had spent 2020/21 with the Primavera side.
That first senior campaign amounted to four Serie B appearances. In September 2022 Benevento sent him to Potenza, in Serie C, on a season-long loan, and there the football arrived in volume: 33 league matches and a goal, plus two appearances in the promotion play-offs, where he scored again.
He came back to a club that had dropped into Serie C, and this time he stayed in the side. The 2023/24 season brought 30 league matches and six more in the promotion play-offs, with a goal in that run. Soccerway's career totals put him at 130 league appearances and eight goals, six matches and two goals across the Coppa Italia, Coppa Italia Serie C and Coppa Italia Primavera, and nine play-off matches with two goals.
Benevento are back in Serie B for 2026/27; so far he has one league appearance and two in the Coppa Italia.
