Ádám Gergely Kovácsik

Kovácsik started out in the youth ranks at Budapest Honvéd and Ferencváros, where he received the Tibor Simon Award in 2006, before moving abroad to join the Reggina academy in 2007. He signed his first senior contract with the Italian club in 2010 and spent five years there, though loan spells at Foligno, Pavia and Carpi meant much of that time was played away from Reggio Calabria. He returned to Hungary in August 2015 on a free transfer to Fehérvár, where he settled in as first-choice goalkeeper and stayed for eight years, winning the Nemzeti Bajnokság I title in 2017–18 and the Magyar Kupa the following season.

His time at Fehérvár was interrupted in October 2020 by a severe knee injury, a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament that required surgery and kept him out for around six months. He earned his single Hungary cap in 2017, and years earlier had been part of the Hungary under-20 squad that took bronze at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

A loan to Győr for the 2022–23 season marked the start of his departure from Fehérvár, and he left the club for good in 2023, joining Mezőkövesd on a free transfer. He moved on again in August 2024, signing for Paks, also as a free agent, where he now competes for the goalkeeper's jersey.
