About the player
Born in New Jersey to Diego Soñora, a former MLS player, he was eligible for Argentina through his heritage but chose the United States. The debut came on 25 January 2023, a friendly against Serbia. Five caps followed that year, none of them with a goal.
He joined the Boca Juniors academy in 2012 and stayed six years, moving to Independiente's youth setup in 2018. The professional debut arrived on 26 September 2019.
A move to Mexican side FC Juárez in February 2023 lasted eight appearances and no goals; by July the two parties had agreed to part. Huracán took him back to Argentina, where he made 24 appearances and scored twice before his contract expired in December 2024.
He was part of the United States squad at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup and started against Jamaica, though an injury took him off and Jackson Yueill replaced him. He was also part of the squad that won the 2022–23 CONCACAF Nations League.
Cerro Porteño signed him in January 2025 as a free agent, and he took the number 7 shirt in Asunción. In 2026 he moved again on a free transfer, joining Newell's Old Boys in Argentina on a one-season deal with an option to extend.
