About the player
Alex Lowry made his senior debut for Rangers in January 2022 after coming through the club's academy, having joined as a boy from Calderbraes. Later that season he scored in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup against Stirling Albion and started the semi-final against Celtic, though he did not feature in the final. He also picked up four league appearances as the club won the Scottish Premiership that same season.
A loan to Heart of Midlothian followed in August 2023, where Lowry made 12 league appearances before the move ended in January 2024. Rangers confirmed his permanent departure on 21 January 2025, with Lowry moving to Wycombe Wanderers for an undisclosed fee. In League One he made around fifteen to seventeen appearances, scoring once.
In July 2026 he returned to Scotland on a season-long loan to Motherwell, the move confirmed on 25 July 2026. At underage level, Lowry has represented Scotland from the U16s through to the U21s, scoring four goals in five U19 caps and adding a further goal at U21 level.
