About the player
Anton Bäuerle is a Stuttgart-born left-back who started out at TSV Birkach and SV Sillenbuch, then spent several years working through Stuttgarter Kickers' youth ranks from the U15 side up, before a move to Leverkusen's U19 team in 2022.
The step into senior football came at SC Paderborn 07, where he joined the reserve side in Regionalliga West and made 40 appearances, scoring twice. He made his senior debut against Kaiserslautern before further appearances against Braunschweig, Düsseldorf and Karlsruhe. His time at Paderborn ended in 2026 when his contract was terminated by mutual agreement, and he moved on a free transfer to 1. FC Saarbrücken, where he now wears the number 3 shirt.
Bäuerle has also had a taste of international football, earning a cap for Germany's U18 side in 2023 and a further one at U19 level in 2024. Left-footed and comfortable at left-back, his career so far has been built on free transfers and steady progression through youth football.
