About the player
Cartagena gave Colombian football another left-footed winger in Beckham Castro, who worked his way through a string of local academies — Chiqui Orozco, Academia de Crespo, Estudiantil and Aston Villa de Cali — before Millonarios brought him in. The club signed him as a professional in December 2020, and he waited until March 2023 for his senior debut. It did not take long to pay off: Millonarios won the Categoría Primera A Apertura that year, and the Superliga de Colombia followed in 2024, with Castro part of both squads. Before any of that, he had already shown what he could do in front of goal, finishing as top scorer of the Supercopa Juvenil FCF in 2022 with 18 goals.
His path since has moved between opportunity and patience.
At international level, he has represented Colombia at Under-18 and Under-20.
