Cristopher Adonis Angulo Caicedo

Cristopher Angulo wears the number 99 shirt at Mushuc Runa this season — a number that once belonged to a goalkeeper at the same club. The right-back's route to Ecuadorian football's top level began at Real Fortaleza before he moved into the youth setup at Independiente del Valle, where he spent several years developing.

What followed was a period defined by loans rather than a settled home. Independiente del Valle sent him out twice to Independiente Juniors, with a spell at Macará sandwiched in between. Rather than returning to parent-club football, he then moved permanently, switching colours several times in quick succession: Macará again, then Manta F.C., then Técnico Universitario, where his stay ended by mutual agreement between player and club.

Financial terms of the various transfers have not been made public, and the club has not detailed the scope of the role he is expected to play, but the switch to Mushuc Runa gives him a fresh platform after a stretch in which no single club held onto him for long.

Angulo operates on the right side of defence and is right-footed.
