Daniil Fomin

Daniil Fomin came through Krasnodar's academy and spent three seasons with the club's reserve side, a spell that yielded seven goals in 53 appearances at that level. A single Russian Cup appearance was all he got with Krasnodar's first team, and it was a loan to Pari NN that gave him a proper platform: two seasons in the FNL produced 62 league games and six goals.

That move worked. Fomin started regularly for Ufa, scoring six times in 27 league matches in his one season there, and in August 2020 Dynamo Moscow paid a reported €3.5 million to bring him to Moscow. The transfer proved to be the making of his career: he has gone on to make more than 160 appearances for the club, signing a contract extension that runs to 2029. With Dynamo he has twice finished as a bronze medallist in the Russian Premier League, in 2021/22 and 2023/24, and reached a Russian Cup final in the first of those seasons, though Dynamo lost out there. His form in 2021/22 also earned him a place in the list of the 33 best players in the Russian championship and, separately, the "Football Gentleman of the Year" award.

His progress at club level opened the door to the national team. Fomin made his senior debut for Russia in October 2020 in a Nations League draw with Turkey, and he scored his first international goal in March 2025 in a friendly rout of Grenada, finishing off a pass from Artem Dzyuba.
