Dario Marešić

In February 2026, NK Istra 1961 sold their captain to HNK Hajduk Split for a fee reported at between €150,000 and €175,000. Dario Marešić signed until the summer of 2029, and by the middle of 2026 he had made 16 appearances for Hajduk: 14 in the league and two in Europe.

His route into the game ran through Sturm Graz, where he joined the youth set-up in 2014 and spent three years in the reserve side before moving up to the first team in 2017. That season brought his clearest individual recognition to date: selection in the Austrian Bundesliga team of the year.

The move abroad came in August 2019, when Stade de Reims paid around €3m for him. France did not work out. Marešić played nine Ligue 1 matches across four years on the books. In the summer of 2022 Reims loaned him to Istra 1961 with an option to buy; the Croatian club took it up in 2023 for an undisclosed fee, and he stayed until the Hajduk transfer.

Austria have used him throughout their youth system rather than at senior level. He won eight caps at under-16, 11 at under-17 and one at under-18, then 21 for the under-21 side, scoring once. A senior call-up has not followed.
