David Štěpánek

Štěpánek came through the Vysočina Jihlava academy and made his senior debut for the club in May 2015, working his way to a regular starting place by the 2016/17 season. He was still in the side when Vysočina were relegated from the Czech First League in 2017/18.

That move came in January 2019, when he joined FK Jablonec on a free transfer. An injury delayed his first appearance for the club, but once fit he became a fixture in the Jablonec defence, going on to make over 100 appearances across all competitions during five and a half years there. His contract ran out in June 2024, and he left on a free transfer for 1. FC Slovácko, where he signed until June 2028.

At youth level, Štěpánek represented the Czech Republic through the age groups, picking up 5 caps and a goal for the under-17s during qualification for the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, then a further 5 caps and a goal for the under-19s in qualifying for the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He also earned 5 caps with the under-20 side. He has not yet been capped by the senior national team.
