About the player
Diogo Batista de Souza made his senior debut for Coritiba in a Série A fixture against Goiás. He went on to make 11 appearances in that Série A campaign, adding one assist, before Coritiba were relegated at the end of the season. Early the following year he featured seven times for the club in the Campeonato Paranaense.
Coritiba then sent him out on loan to Remo for the rest of that season, where he played a regular part in the Série C campaign, making 18 appearances and scoring once, though the title went to ABC rather than his side. A further loan move followed in June 2025, this time to CSA.
By February 2026 he had joined Athletic Club, in Belo Horizonte, where he continues to play in Série B. A right-footed defender capable of playing at right-back or in central defence, he was born in Januária, Brazil.
