Dmitri Sergeev

Sergeev came through Zenit Saint Petersburg's academy and spent his early senior years learning the game with the club's reserve side, Zenit-2, making more than fifty appearances there between 2018 and 2021. A loan at Baltika Kaliningrad followed, where he added eight league appearances to his record before returning to the Zenit-2 setup in 2022. His reward came that same year with a place in the Zenit first-team squad: two appearances in the Russian Premier League, and with them a league title medal from the 2021/22 campaign, even though he did not feature in any of the season's league matches itself.

The move that gave him a regular role came in February 2023, when he joined Kairat in Kazakhstan on a two-year contract. There he made 44 league appearances and scored five goals across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, and it was with Kairat that he claimed the biggest honour of his career so far: the 2024 Kazakhstan Premier League title.

When his contract in Almaty ran out at the end of 2024, Sergeev returned to Russia as a free agent, signing with Arsenal Tula in the Russian First League in January 2025. He has since moved on loan to Veles. Sergeev has represented Russia at youth level through the Zenit academy system but has not yet earned a senior international cap.
