About the player
The most striking line in Ethan Amundsen-Day's story so far is his career path: he left Lervik IF for Fredrikstad FK as a teenager, then took the step abroad to F.C. Copenhagen's academy, where he spent several years developing before Aston Villa brought him into their development setup in June 2024. In August 2025 he returned to Norway, signing for HamKam on a contract running to the summer of 2029.
The move to HamKam has already paid off in playing time. Across the 2025 Eliteserien season he made 13 appearances, starting eleven of them, and contributed a goal and an assist in 977 minutes on the pitch.
Despite being born in England, Amundsen-Day has built his international profile entirely with Norway. He has not scored at any of those youth levels, and has never appeared for England at any age group.
