About the player
Three minutes into his top-flight debut, Filip Kutleša was walking off it. He came into the NK Slaven Belupo side in the Croatian First Football League in August 2024 and was shown a direct red card in the third minute for a foul on Nik Škafar Žužić. Slaven lost the match 3–0 to Istra 1961. At 17 years and six months, Kutleša became the second-youngest player ever sent off in the 1. HNL, behind only Mislav Oršić.
The route to that afternoon ran through NK Moslavina in Popovača, where he played his youth football until 2023. He joined the Slaven Belupo academy in July of that year and worked up through the U15 and U17 sides before the call to the first team. Senior minutes have come sparingly since: four appearances, one of them a start, the other three from the bench.
With Croatia he has been capped at U16 and U17 level. In a friendly against Lithuania U16 in April 2025 he scored in the 88th minute to level the match at 1–1.
He is right-footed and was born in Popovača.
