Giacomo Calò

November 2025 was the month Calò's name travelled beyond the division. Playing for Frosinone , he was involved in four goals across those weeks — three of them his own, two assists alongside — and was named Serie BKT MVP of the Month . He had arrived that August on loan from Cesena ; the following June, Frosinone took up the option and signed him permanently for an undisclosed fee.

The route there ran through most of the Italian lower and middle tiers. He came up at Triestina in his home city, then spent four years in Sampdoria 's academy. A loan to Pontedera and in July 2017 Juve Stabia signed him.

Genoa bought him from Juve Stabia in July 2019, then left him at Juve Stabia on loan for the following season. What followed were two more loan years — Pordenone , then Benevento — before Cosenza took him in August 2022 on a loan carrying an obligation to buy. Cesena paid €250,000 plus €100,000 in bonuses for him in July 2024.

The one international marker on his record is early and brief: a call-up to the Italy under-18 squad for a friendly against Albania in January 2015.
