About the player
That February he switched to FC Basel's youth setup, and with Basel's U-19 side he played in the UEFA Youth League and helped the team win the Swiss U-19 Championship in 2025.
He then stepped up to FC Basel II, the club's U-21 side, in the Promotion League. That came on 1 February 2026, when Coloto made his Swiss Super League debut against FC Thun.
His path so far has run entirely through Basel's own academy and reserve structure, with no transfer fee involved at any stage of his rise from Zurich's youth pitches to the first team.
