About the player

Height rarely gets mentioned in a footballer's profile, but at 167 cm and 59 kg, Grzegorz Tomasiewicz is a midfielder. He came through the Legia Warszawa academy.

That move came in February 2015, to Arka Gdynia, and it paid off quickly: Tomasiewicz won the I Liga title with Arka in the 2015–16 season and went up with the club to the Ekstraklasa. A loan spell at Pogoń Siedlce followed before he returned to Arka, then left as a free agent for Stal Mielec in the summer of 2018. He was a key player as the club won the I Liga in 2019–20 and earned another promotion to the top flight.

He joined Piast Gliwice as a free agent in July 2022, initially on a contract to 2024 before extending through to 2026, and fans voted him the club's best player for the 2022–23 season. He has continued to find the net from distance at Piast, including a free-kick against Radomiak Radom in the 2023–24 Ekstraklasa campaign.

Tomasiewicz has never played for Poland's senior side, though he was a regular for the country at youth level. Sources differ on his stronger foot, but the detailed statistical services that track such things describe him as comfortable with both.
