Igor Guilherme Barbosa da Paixão

Igor Paixão came through the youth academy at Coritiba, signed his first professional contract there in October 2018 and made his senior debut in January 2019. A loan spell at Londrina followed, where he helped the club win promotion to Série B, before he returned to Coritiba and won the Campeonato Paranaense in 2022.

That form took him to Feyenoord in August 2022, and it was in Rotterdam that Paixão won the Eredivisie in his first season, added the KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruyff Shield, and was named Dutch Footballer of the Year for 2024–25. A strike against FC Utrecht was voted the Eredivisie's Goal of the Season for 2023–24.

Marseille paid a club-record fee to sign him in August 2025. At international level, he has not yet won a senior cap for Brazil, though he was named in Carlo Ancelotti's preliminary squad in February 2025 before missing out on the matches that followed. He has represented Brazil at Under-23 level and was part of the preliminary group for the 2024 Olympics, though he did not make the final tournament squad.
