Jeppe Okkels

Jeppe Okkels came up through the Silkeborg academy system, joining ØBG Silkeborg as a child before moving into Silkeborg IF's youth ranks and eventually the first team, where he stayed until 2020. That spell included a Danish 1st Division title in the 2018/19 season. His move to Sweden's IF Elfsborg later that year proved the making of him: across four seasons he was a regular starter, and his tally of 24 goals in 100 appearances.

That form earned him a switch to FC Utrecht in the Netherlands in January 2024, though his time there was brief, limited to five matches before he moved on again. Preston North End brought him to England that August, and he spent a season in the Championship before Aberdeen took him on loan in January 2025, with an option to make the deal permanent. In Scotland he made 16 appearances and scored once.

Okkels has represented Denmark at every youth level from under-16 to under-21, scoring most prolifically for the under-17s, where he found the net four times in 14 games. He has not featured for the senior national side.
