Jorginho

Jorginho came through Benfica's academy, moving from the youth ranks to Benfica B, before the path took him away from the Lisbon giant rather than into its first team. From there his career settled into a pattern of short, productive spells: two years at Famalicão, a season at Sporting da Covilhã, and then a move abroad that turned into his most notable stretch of form.

At Ilves, the Finnish club he joined in July 2023, the defender made 42 appearances and contributed 3 goals and 12 assists — a significant attacking return for a player in his position. He won the Finnish Cup with Ilves in 2023 and was part of the side that finished as Veikkausliiga runners-up the following year, the clearest team success of his career so far.

Since leaving Finland the first time, Jorginho's career has moved quickly across borders. A free transfer took him to Dukla Prague in January 2025, where he made 8 league appearances, before another free move in July 2025 brought him to Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia, where he played 13 league matches. In July 2026 he returned to Finland on a free transfer, this time signing for KuPS.

Internationally, Jorginho was capped once by Portugal's under-19 side, in a friendly in 2017.
