About the player
Kaká was born Kauan Carneiro da Silva in Feira de Santana. He came through Brazilian youth football with Aliança, Vila Nova and Capivariano before moving to the Czech Republic at the end of 2023, when Karviná signed him.
The switch did not put him straight into the first team. Karviná placed him with their reserve side in the third-tier MSFL, and only in early 2024 was he promoted to train and play with the senior squad, going on to appear in the Fortuna Liga as well as in friendlies. That summer, in July 2024, the club sent him out on loan to SK Prostějov in the Czech National Football League.
Kaká returned to Karviná for the following season before a permanent move took him to Zbrojovka Brno in June 2025, where he now wears the number 3 shirt. He has not featured for Brazil at any level so far. Listed by some as a forward earlier in his career, he has established himself as a defender.
