About the player
Kasperi Silén came up through the youth ranks at FC Haka, joining the Haka Juniorit setup before earning a place in the senior squad in October 2024. His breakthrough season came in 2025, when he was sent out on loan to FC Vaajakoski in the Kakkonen, making 11 appearances. In February 2026, Silén moved to KuPS on a free transfer.
Since arriving in Kuopio, Silén has been registered with both the senior KuPS squad and KuPS Akatemia, the club's reserve side, and has made nine appearances for the Akatemia team in the Ykkönen. He has also been named in senior squads for Veikkausliiga fixtures and European qualifiers, including matches against Shamrock Rovers and TPS, though he has so far remained an unused substitute at that level.
Silén's development has run in parallel through the Finland youth setup, where he has progressed from the U15 side up to the U17s. With the Finland U17 team he featured in UEFA European U17 Championship qualifiers as well as friendly fixtures across 2024 and 2025.
