About the player
Luka Marjanac was born in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, and started out in the youth system at FC Basel before leaving without breaking into the senior side. His professional career began in Slovenia, where he signed his first contract with NK Bravo in February 2023 and scored once in 11 PrvaLiga appearances. He then dropped into the second tier, joining ND Bilje for the first half of the 2023/24 season and playing 16 matches.
A move to ND Gorica in January 2024 brought Marjanac his best football to date. In the 2024/25 season he scored 12 goals and set up seven more in 26 matches in the 2. SNL. He also featured for Gorica in the Slovenian Cup final that season against Rogaška, a tie decided 7–6 on penalties after a 1–1 draw through extra time. Marjanac had already tasted cup success once before, having been part of the NK Bravo squad that won the Slovenian Cup in the 2021–22 season.
In June 2025, Marjanac moved abroad for the first time as a senior professional, joining Śląsk Wrocław in the Polish Ekstraklasa on a free transfer. He signed a two-year contract with the Polish club, with an option to extend for a further season, and took the number 11 shirt.
