About the player
Lewis Pitman was born in Coventry and moved into professional football with Sheffield United, where he progressed through the under-18 and under-21 squads. He featured in the Professional Development League and the Premier League Cup for the Blades but never signed a senior contract or made a first-team appearance there. That development spell ended in August 2024, when he joined Piast Gliwice on a permanent transfer.
Although born and raised in England, Pitman holds dual Polish and English citizenship and has chosen to represent Poland at youth level, winning caps for the under-19 and under-20 sides, including matches in qualifying for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2023. He has not featured for England at any age group.
A right-footed defender, Pitman moved on loan to Ross County in Scotland in January 2026, a switch set to run for the remainder of the 2025/26 season before he is due back at Piast Gliwice in July 2026.
